FAQ

Does my PDF get uploaded anywhere?

No. The file is read locally by pdfjs-dist and rendered to images on a canvas inside this browser tab. There is no upload endpoint — the PDF, the rendered pages, and the ZIP you download all stay on your device.

Can I convert only some pages instead of the whole PDF?

Yes. Type a page range like 1-3,5 into the Pages field before converting; leave it blank to convert every page. Ranges accept single pages and dashes in any combination, separated by commas.

What's the difference between JPG and PNG output?

JPG is smaller and has an adjustable quality slider — good for photos, scans, and general use. PNG is lossless and better for pages with sharp text or line art where JPG compression artifacts would be visible, at the cost of a larger file.

How do I get a higher-resolution image, for printing?

Pick the Print (3x) resolution option before converting. It renders each page at 3x the PDF's native 72dpi viewport, which is sharp enough for most print use; Standard (1x) or High (2x) are enough for on-screen viewing.

Can I download all the pages at once?

Yes. Once two or more pages have been converted, the Download all (ZIP) button bundles every page into a single ZIP file, built locally with no server round-trip — filenames are zero-padded so they sort in page order.

Will it work on a scanned PDF?

Yes — better than most PDF tools, in fact. Since this renders each page as a raster image rather than extracting a text layer, it works identically whether the PDF has real text or is a scanned photo of a page.
